shit. i finished it, and it didn’t take as long as i thought. i just finished customizing the theme, which was the last thing to do before the site is complete. it used to be “Thought Mechanics”. it’s actually still the same theme, but now looks more in line with the rest of the site because of some deft CSS tweaking and commenting out of unsightly lines of PHP.
i figured i would mention what the point of this actually is. thinking about it more, i realized that i still don’t know why this is here. i first started putting this together mostly just to see if i could. after a stressful first attempt, things seem to be going well. posting is working and it looks more in line with what the rest of the site is supposed to look like.
aside from the main goal of putting a “blogging” section together, my other goal is to get started on a project i’ve been putting off for a long time. the rest of the site is almost finished too. i have a few details to work out, but otherwise i will be finished soon. more news to follow.
